About Tommy & Tommy’s Canine Academy (Formerly My Dog Training Spot)

My name is Tommy Grammer and I’ve been a full time professional dog trainer for the past 23 years. To date, I have completed more than 17,000 private lessons. I have also taught countless group classes and have completed several hundred boarding and training programs.

Why I Created Tommy’s Canine Academy

That’s what inspired me to create Tommy’s Canine Academy. My goal was to give dog owners everywhere an easy-to-use online resource center for:

• Step-by-step video lessons on obedience training
• How-to tutorials for solving problem behaviors
• Live video coaching calls (for students who want extra support)

With today’s technology, I can bring the same proven methods I use in person directly into your home. You don’t need to travel, adjust your schedule, or guess what to do next because it’s all here in one place.

My Experience & Credentials

Alongside running the Academy, I own and operate the Evergreen School for Dogs, a training school outside Seattle, Washington. Over the years I’ve been:

• Recommended by veterinarians
• Partnered with rescue groups including the SPCA to aid in developing training programs
• A mentor to many aspiring trainers, including students from the Animal Behavior College
• Work closely with various Rescue Groups in Washington State.

My specialty is companion dog training. I also have vast experiences working with challenging aggressive behavior cases.
