About Tommy Grammer & Tommy's Canine Academy
My name is Tommy Grammer, and I've been a full-time professional dog trainer for 24 years. In that time, I've completed more than 17,000 private lessons, hundreds of boarding and training programs, and countless group classes. I've worked with everything from brand new puppies to dogs with serious behavior challenges.
You may know me from my YouTube channel MyDogTrainingSpot, which I've been running for over a decade. I recently rebranded to Tommy's Canine Academy to better reflect the personal, one-on-one approach I bring to every student.
I've seen firsthand what a well-trained dog does for a family. Less stress. More freedom. A relationship you actually enjoy.
Why I Created Tommy's Canine Academy
For most of my career, the only way I could help a dog owner was in person. That meant I could only reach people in my local area. But the questions I was answering, the problems I was solving, the methods that were working... none of that had to be limited to Washington State.
So I built Tommy's Canine Academy to bring those same proven methods directly into your home, wherever you are. No travel. No scheduling conflicts. No guessing what to do next. Just clear, step-by-step guidance from a trainer who has done this full time for over two decades.
The Academy gives dog owners access to:

My Experience & Credentials
Alongside the Academy, I own and operate Evergreen School for Dogs, a training facility outside Seattle, Washington. Everything I teach online is actively being used in real training programs every single day.
Over the years I have been:
• Recommended by veterinarians
• Partnered with rescue organizations including the SPCA to develop training programs
• A mentor to aspiring trainers, including graduates of the Animal Behavior College
• An ongoing resource for rescue groups throughout Washington State
My specialty is companion dog training, helping everyday dog owners get real, lasting results. I also have extensive experience working with dogs displaying aggressive behavior.
